Busy Bee

Oh goodness me! We are some busy busy Bees!


We went to Vegas at the end of January, we had such a blast!! We left on a Friday and came back late Saturday. The Platnium hotel was where we stayed and oh it was lovely! The spa was WONDERfUL, we got a couples massage, I wanted I take those ladies home lol! It was amazing! Vegas is definitely a different city but for a weekend getaway it was nice. We didn't do any gambling, just eating good food! Hopefully we will go back soon, and this time see Circa Sole'. We saw blue man group and it was reallllllly good!


David got to meet his favorite person ever too!


Oh my it was so funny seeing is sweet face when he saw tupac. He was so excited!



My excitement was going to the hello kitty store, yes I know it's really girly but hey I'm really girly!



January and Feb have been full of firsts for us! It's been so wonderful seeing how God is working in our lives! We bought our first washer and dryer!



They are the most wonderful things everrrr I tell you! LG is where it's at!
Well that's all we have right now, hopefully there will be some more excitement for us to share with y'all. Headed home on the 1st-4th of march, so pumped! Xoxo see y'all soon!

Finally a UPDATE!!

Our New Home!!

Oh how long has it been since i last updated yall?? FOREVERRR!

Ok Ok, so alot has happend in the past few months!

David and I have moved clear across the country, all the way from Georgia a stop in Mississippi then finally to California! I did not think we would ever get here! David's daddy who I like to call Big David drove with us from the sip to cali! It was a adventrous trip for sure. Alot to see and do along the way butttt seeing as how we had a deadline of getting here on Friday we had no time of stopping to do sight seeing. There was enough to see with all the mountains that i have NEVER-EVER seen! Oh my let me tell you the mountains were beautiful! David and I were in awe of all that we actually got to see.

When we got here on Friday it was about 7pm here and one of the ladies from the housing office waited after work just for us, that way we could actually get into a home and not stay in the hotel over the weekend. The housing office here is so wonderful, the people are helpful, nice, and knowledgable! A wonderful housing office is something new for us. We are honestly so impressed with everyone here!

Bentley Boo had a Vet appt yesterday, oh my he was so nervous! Bless his heart, he had to get 3 shots and one was a MicroChip. The MicroChip is a wonderful thing, if he gets lost it is actually a GPS so we could look him up on the internet, it will show us where he is! Finding him would be SOOO easy! He is a little escape artist, sneaking out of the door and sprinting away lol! He will have another appt on Feburary 8th for surgery, he will be getting his teeth cleaned, dew claws taken off as well as one more shot! I'am super nervous about the surgery bc hey he is our baby!

David really is liking his job, as well as the people he is working with, he will be gone a good bit but we will have 4 day weekends often. There is no cons to living here other than the drive to go shopping and things like that. He is very impressed with everything here which makes me happy! I can say that I am so so proud of him, he really has went into this experience with a positive open mind and came to find out that he really does like it and it will be a wonderful opportunity for his career.

We really like the base here, everything is pretty much walking distance which I love coming from Crystal Springs! The Px and Commisary is not as large as it is in Ft Benning but they still have the things we need! Who cares if we have to drive 1Hour to get to a Super Target, I sure don't because I absolutely LOVE Target!!! Our home is BRAND NEW, its absolutely beautiful! We are in a 3 bed room 2 & 1/2 bath, so comfy and roomy at the same time! A 2 car garage and a nice backyard is also in the mix:)  I will post some extra pics below.

OK so on to my job search. There is a Family Dental Clinic here on base and I was just DYING to get a opportunity to work there, it is top of the line and so so nice. I dropped off a resume last week, today they called asking if I would be interested in doing a working interview tomorrow from 10-6! UMMM OF COURSE I would be!! I literally jumped up and down and was like YESSSS! I know that it is just a working interview and that I will have some competition, none the less it is a opportunity and one step into the door. All I have to do is impress them and do a good job. The key to getting any job I think is to do a good and quality job, being knowledgeable in your field and honest. Especially in dental you have to be caring and want to take care of your patients as if they were your own family. I believe that I am that person lol! Hopefully all goes well tomorrow, I kick booty and get a call back quickly. I'm so so ready to work, I am not a homebody at all! Working and being out and busy is my most favorite thing! If I am at home I will clean clean and re arrange everything lol...

All in all everything is WONDERFUL and we could not be happier!

Family fun in the Sip

We finally made it home on Saturday, David got up at 4am Georgia time and packed the Jeep down! He comes in and wakes me up by turning the lights on and saying babe get up the Jeep is on, we got to go!! Needless to say I got up pretty quickly lol, knowing that we were going to be in the Sip in 6 hours i was SO excited! We got in the Jeep and headed HOME!! it was absolutely wonderful! 6 hour drives are no comparison to the drive across country that we will be doing on the 3rd of January to California. David is driving a 20 foot truck with his Jeep hooked to the back and me driving the Altima behind him, this will be interesting that's for sure haha!! Sunday we went to Terry Baptist Church with Davids mother, its such a sweet church. The picture above is from that afternoon, Davids sweet sister Ashley and her boys came down to Terry to see the toy train set up at the Depot. They are such polite boys! Going to be such a catch when they get older:) David loves when he gets to see them, of course I do too, family is so precious to us!

First Blog!

Ok ok so we will be leaving early in the AM to head to Terry and Crystal Springs, Mississippi for Christmas FINALLY!!!!! We are so excited words can not even describe it! Today we were super busy, David had to go to 6 briefs before he could get go ahead to leave. I was packing myself and Bentley Boo of course I pack WAY too much but we wont talk about that. When he got out of the brief the plan was to leave for Mississippi straight away, but they ended up telling him that he had to wait till tomorrow. Such a bummer seeing as how we were all packed and ready, Bentley had already taken his baby benadryl to help with the drive and everything. No worries though, my husband is the best. He swooped me up and we went and got some bbq and did a bit of christmas shopping for Bentley Boo and picked out our new washer and dryer. So excited to get to California and actually get the washer and dryer and get into our new house! Thats right, I said California, for those of you who do not know the Army is sending us to Ft. Irwin for 12-18 months then we get to choose duty station of choice! We definatly chose HAWAII!! We are so excited about starting this new chapter in our lives! It is such a blessing to see what God has planned for us!
Kansas was just not for us, for a number of reasons.
1. We are from Mississippi okay..
2. Its VERY far away from home.
3. I have never seen real snow, neither has Bentley.
4. Well its just super cold!
The reasons that California is perfect.
1. Its WARM!!!!
2. Just a Southwest Flight away from home.
3. 3 hours from Los Angeles
4. 3 hours from Vegas.
God has blessed us in so many ways with family, friends, and of course our wonderful doggie Bentley Boo Hester:)
